HOW TO DO A MANICURE AND GEL POLISH AT HOME.

Have you ever caught yourself staring at your chipped nail polish or just untidy fingers, only to realize you haven't visited your nail tech in a minute, you have an upcoming event, there is not enough time to visit the salon for a proper manicure, now you wonder if you could only achieve a perfect manicure by yourself! hmmm seems farfetched, where do you even begin, and what tools do you need? don't worry i got you.

Now before i begin to spill the beans , let me remind you that just before you polish your nails, you have to perform a ritual called MANICURE! OKAY ,SO WHAT IS A MANICURE?

A manicure is basically removing dead skin cells and overgrown cuticles from around your fingernails, it also includes filing and buffing and using of oils to strengthen the nails. you will need a cuticle remover, trimmer, file and buffer. after this give the hands a clean with rubbing alcohol or water and soap.

Now is time to apply gel polish or normal polish. Just like all applications, this involves a base coat, top two layers and a topcoat, with normal polish you do not need a uv lamp to dry the polish application, but you still have to wait in between applications for the polish to dry.

first apply a very thin coat of base polish on the fingernails, ensuring to cover every part of the nail bed, place in the uv lamp and allow to fully dry, precisely 3 mins, then apply the colour you intend to use, apply first coat allow to dry for 3 mins then apply second coat and allow to dry in uv lamp for another 3 mins. after the color is fully dry, you can now apply the last coat, that is the topcoat, dry for another 3 mins for each hand.

quite time consuming but gel polish is preferred over normal polish as it can stay on the fingers a longer time without chipping and looking untidy.
